Pastdue provides debt collection services to some of the UK's leading companies. As it adapted its products for digital channels, it needed a consistent online presence that would reach its audience, especially on LinkedIn. Fintech Scotland recommended Nine Stones.
The Challenge
Pastdue had never set a marketing budget and had no marketing experience, so it struggled to know where to start or what to prioritise. It wanted to move into new markets and raise awareness of the company and its products. Its messaging was inconsistent and confusing, which made the business hard for leads to understand, and the audience for its new product, DAAS, didn't always understand what it did.
The Approach
Nine Stones began with a workshop, in which its creative director and social media manager worked with the Pastdue team on the brand, products, audience and marketing goals, and turned the outcome into a plan.
A visual refresh. Nine Stones redesigned Pastdue's logo, fonts and colour scheme to give the brand a modern, consistent identity, and wrote brand guidelines to keep it that way.
A LinkedIn strategy. Using the new guidelines, the team built a long-term content plan for LinkedIn, the platform Pastdue's audience uses most. It mixed educational content, promotional offers and industry updates to position Pastdue as a thought leader.
Myself and Phil both really enjoyed the process and came away from the session enlightened about the approach we would take and that we would be going down avenues we had never even considered.
The Outcome
In the first month, Pastdue's LinkedIn impressions rose by 4,706%. Engagement stayed high and brand awareness grew as the campaign continued. With consistent branding and clearer messaging, Pastdue's content became better at attracting new leads and customers.
