How AnkTech Built an Alumni Network App for My Alma Mater

My Alma Mater connects people with their alumni, so they could grow their network and ask for help or offer it.

The Challenge

Social feeds are crowded, and people find it annoying to see posts they never asked for. One user told the team they weren't active on Facebook or Instagram and wanted something that showed only the information they chose to see.

The Approach

AnkTech designed the app in Figma and built it in React Native on Firebase. Users filter their own feeds, so they see only the messages relevant to them. Communities have no limit on members, and users could belong to any number of groups.
