Gripple began with a wire salesman, a frustrated farmer on a wet Welsh hillside and a better way to join two pieces of wire. The first Gripple wire joiner launched in the UK in 1988, and the company was set up in 1991. The name says what the product does: it grips wire with a spring-loaded roller and tensions it as it is drawn through. Gripple is employee-owned, manufactures in Sheffield across several South Yorkshire sites, and sells into 85 countries.
The Challenge
What began as a fencing tool for farms became a mainstay of building services, where Gripple's suspension systems hold up pipework, cabling and ductwork. One product family now serves farmers and M&E contractors across dozens of territories, and the messaging had become inconsistent from channel to channel. The product looks simple, but its value is in the engineering, and the copy had to make that clear wherever it was read.
The Approach
A messaging workshop. Nine Stones began by finding the thread that links agriculture and construction: products that save time, hold fast and are trusted in the field. With the audiences and the core message defined, the messaging could flex across sectors and stay consistent.
Content. Nine Stones then rewrote the website copy and wrote case studies and SEO content to work across sectors and territories. The content explains the engineering plainly, targets the terms buyers search for, and reads as one brand rather than a patchwork of regional messages.
The Outcome
Gripple now has a clearer, more consistent story that works as well on a Welsh hillside as on a building-services tender, and content built to support a business that keeps crossing borders.
