The Challenge
Bloomsbury Institute’s existing Self-Service Centre, built on the outdated Radius platform, was limited in its functionality and user interface customisation. These limitations led to inefficient processes, particularly in handling student visa applications, where manual data uploads from Radius to CAS Shield were necessary every day. The system also suffered from poor integration between the front-end and back-end, creating redundant tasks and inefficiencies.
The institute needed a new, modern interface that could integrate smoothly with the Radius back-end, while also automating critical steps such as visa data management through CAS Shield. The new system had to be intuitive, streamline workflows, and improve user satisfaction for both applicants and agents.

Our Approach
Design and Development
Our first priority was to redesign both the Applicants Portal and Agents Portal, creating a modern, intuitive user interface. This involved a detailed overhaul of the front end to provide a more user-friendly experience for both groups.
Integration with Radius and CAS Shield
The next challenge was to integrate the new front end with the existing Radius back-end system, ensuring a seamless transition for managing admissions processes. For visa-requiring students, we integrated CAS Shield to automate data exchange, eliminating the manual uploads that had previously caused inefficiencies.
Agile Methodology
Using Agile methodologies, we collaborated closely with Bloomsbury Institute through workshops with key stakeholders, including UX Designers and Business Analysts. This allowed us to refine designs and align on technical requirements, ensuring the system would meet the institute’s goals.
Automation and Efficiency
We automated the update process by integrating CAS Shield with the Applicants Portal, streamlining visa applications and eliminating the need for daily manual data handling. This significantly improved data accuracy and workflow efficiency for the student admissions team.”
